The Hilton Garden Inn will be the first hotel to be built at Silverstone Circuit. Due for completion before the Grand Prix in June 2020, the £30 million hotel will feature 197 bedrooms, offering a range of standard rooms, suites and executive boxes overlooking the track. Built on Silverstone’s International Pits straight, with extensive views of the circuit, the new hotel will offer year-round hospitality to guests.
Given the location of the hotel, site safety is paramount to protect workers and members of the public, particularly during busy race days.
The Cygnus Fire Alarm has been deployed both on the main construction site and also the welfare accommodation. Although this is for two separate clients, it has allowed Cygnus to link both systems together to provide maximum protection for the site and employees at all times. The Cygnus Fire Call Point and First Aid Alarms have been installed on site to allow workers to report and distinguish between fire or first aid to offer maximum protection to workers and members of the public.
“We are hugely excited to be maximising fire safety during the development of the first hotel at Silverstone Circuit.”
